Mobile County is predicted to reap approximately 83% of the economic impact of this venture.
• Construction is scheduled to begin in 2008 for the four-track $624 million Alabama Motor sports Park and entertainment complex. When fully operational, the complex and related facilities are expected to provide 4,800 jobs.
• Standard Concrete is moving its headquarters from New Orleans to Mobile bringing approximately 135 corporate high paying jobs.
• A new container terminal is bringing an initial $83 million investment making Mobile a viable player in the container market.
• With 2 high profile government contracts under bid, the world is seeing Mobile as a new hub for military projects.
• Step back to a simpler time and discover the newly renovated Battle House Hotel. Originally built in 1852, its halls were once graced by American presidents and statesmen.
• 2007 also saw the completion of a grand five year project. The 35-story RSA Tower now holds the title for Alabama’s tallest office building.
